If you are a business owner like me you will know good help is hard to find. In these turbulent economic times finding good staff at a reasonable price can be very challenging. Some colleagues say impossible. However, the use of business process outsourcing (BPO) staff can be used at a fraction of the cost. This could be your path to having all those low level tasks you have been meaning to get done but never have the time. The reality is there are not enough hours in the day. But now BPO staff can do the job extremely well and is relatively inexpensive.
This article talks about outsourcing jobs mostly off-site, but you can also “outsource” jobs to freelance or temporary agencies whereby the temporary employee shows up on your site; the outsourcing saves you money, though, because you generally pay little to no benefits and a lower rate of pay than you would an employee you hire through your business. BPO staff offshore saves money by the wage rate as well as a lack of overhead costs such as office space and electricity. The choice is yours, but let’s have a look at some of the things you can do with offshore outsourcing.
Data and Information: Data entry and word processing information are critical to the running of all businesses. Whether it is emailing lists, goods inventory or any other type of information entry, BPO staff can effectively complete these tasks saving you time and money on labor hire rates.
Telesales and Call Centers: Do your marketing strategies include the use of the phone? Outsourcing BPO staff can do all your lead generation, sales or manage your incoming calls. You can diversify your marketing strategies by using BPO staff to call business prospects. Direct marketing via telephone is a very effective marketing strategy.
Customer Support: If your business has a need for customer support, there’s no need to have it in house unless you think you need that for your own peace of mind. By outsourcing BPO staff for customer support to an off-site location, you’ll not only save yourself some money, but you also save yourself some space in your business by not having to house it on the premises. You will be able to offer support beyond the customers expectation.
A Receptionist or Personal Assistant: Depending on your business, you may not need a receptionist or personal assistant on the premises to greet customers or assist you in a face-to-face manner. Perhaps you have one personal assistant but can not afford the much needed second receptionist. If a receptionist or personal assistant can do all of the required tasks away from you, you can outsource these tasks in this way and save yourself some time and money in the process.
Accountants/Bookkeepers: Keeping your financial records and books up to date does not have to be a stressful and time consuming issue (not to mention expensive) with BPO staff. There are many financial reports to be completed in the financial year. By outsourcing you can employ a bookkeeper at fantastic rates, save time and take away all your bookkeeping stresses.
Outsourcing BPO staff can create unbelievable time leverage for you and your business. By using offshore BPO staff you can have someone do all those time consuming tasks you hate without costing you an absolute fortune.
