HSBC says farewell to Viet Nam’s first ATM

HSBC in Viet Nam organised a "retirement ceremony" and granted "twelve years of service" for HSBC’s and Viet Nam’s first ATM on Thursday.

Coming into service 12 years ago as a pioneer service by HSBC in Viet Nam, the machine has since witnessed every stage of the largest foreign bank’s development, as well as the emergence and growth of Viet Nam’s banking industry.

The machine was replaced by a modern Multifunctional ATM (MFATM), the first of its kind by HSBC in Asia. With this MFATM, customers can not only withdraw money, but can also make deposits.
